Manal Bashir Pastry Co. is a cake and pastry shop headed by the bakery's namesake, none other than Manal Bashir. With culinary roots North of the 6ix, both Manal and her bakery are perfect embodiments of the talent, passion, and artistry that inspired us to start our instagram venture 5 years ago. The bake shop specializes in cakes, macarons, tarts, and other goodies that taste as good as they look.
Looking for a truly authentic French bakery north of the downtown core? This is it! Goûter has a variety of sweet and savoury items that make use of local ingredients hand-picked from the market and crafted entirely in-house. Their pastry chef has also studied in France, so if you’re looking for the French-est bakery in town, you found it!
Stepping into Laudurée Toronto is like being instantly transported to a cozy, luxurious European tea shop. If you avoid looking out the window at the hustle and bustle of Yorkdale mall, you might be able to convince yourself you really are in France enjoying one of its famed foodie establishments. Walls are a bubble-gum pink and tables in the tea salon are a white marble. To the left of the entrance, you are immediately greeted by the sight of Laudurée’s world famous macaron selection, which contains permanent flavors as well as some seasonal ones.
Chocolats Favoris, like Cacao 70, proves that Montreal is the ultimate birthplace of wonderful chocolate-centric shops. With four locations in and around the GTA (including locations in Guelph, Ajax, and Aurora), one of the most recently opened is Chocolats Favoris’s Vaughan location... Inside, Chocolats Favoris is a modern-day Willy Wonka chocolate factory.
In contrast to Cacao 70's other Ontario location, its Dip Shop seems to be more grab-and-go, opting out of the classic Cacao 70 fondue and dessert pizzas in favor of decadent hot chocolates, dipped ice cream cones, and dressed up waffle creations.
